1927-31 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball.
Judging by the desirable blue and red stitch design employed on the offered OAL (Barnard) orb that we see here, we can place this glorious as having come from the 1927-31 vintage. The Great Bambino was enjoying his reign as perhaps the worlds most popular celebrity during that era, creating much opportunity for mementos such as this to come into existence. Ruth penned his handsome identifying script to the sweet spot of this baseball, thankfully possessing the legibility to keep the signature no lower than the 7/10 level. Outstanding display piece will get attention from a distance, which is something to say in the world of Ruth singles.

1916 World Series Score Book.
Classic World Series scorecard from Game 1 of the 1916 Fall Classic which pitted Babe Ruth's Boston Red Sox against a Brooklyn Robins squad that included Casey Stengel in his playing days. Played at Boston's Braves Field in favor of Fenway Park due to burgeoning World Series parks, the game pitted Hall of Famer-to-be Rube Marquard from the Robins against Boston's Ernie Shore. Shore came out on top, pitching a complete game and holding off Brooklyn 6-5. The fantastic piece remains in EX condition and has no real condition issue save the scored interior scorecards. 1939 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball.
A highly coveted team orb due to its historical significance, the desirable 1939 New York Yankees baseball comes before us here. Widely known as the final year that Lou Gehrig was with the Bronx Bombers, collectors clamor for the opportunity to catch the Iron Horse and other Yankee legends together for the last time. As was customary for that '39 season, the Gehrig signature on the OAL (Harridge) ball we see here is secretarial, but that does little to detract from the attractiveness of the other autographs here, which include: Chas Ruffing, Red Rolfe, Joe DiMaggio, Frank Crosetti, Charlie Keller, Bump Hadley, Earle Combs, Joe Gordon and more. Signatures rate high, with most better than a 6 on a scale of 10.

"Everything I Know about the Dallas Cowboys," Volume Three.
This volume includes George Allen, Donny Anderson, Bob Breunig, Bum Bright, George H. Bush as Vice President (autopen), Dave Wannstedt, Bud Adams, George Connor, Gerry Faust, Bob Griese, Bon Hope, Paul Hornung, Jimmy Johnson, Dante Lavelli, Max McGee, Jim Mora, Earl Morrall, Steve Pelluer, Mike Shula, Doak Walker, Ralph Wilson Jr and others. George Allen stated in his letter "The Dallas Cowboys were my #1 rival. If I had my way, I'd like to play Dallas in a 16 game schedule, plus six pre season games. They might win a few games at the start but in the end we would win 10 straight games (and I mean any team I coach against them!) The main reason is my teams would be tougher, more physical. And in better condition. We'd whip them in the 4th quarter. I respect the Dallas Cowboys. They are one of the finest organizations in football. Tex Schramm, Tom Landry and Gil Brandt do a good job."
Wiley Grinnell was, like most Texans, a football fan. He had played and coached the game for many years. He also was a Dallas Cowboys fan and was kidded constantly about how much he knew about the Cowboys. So for a birthday gift his wife and son gave him a large hardback book entitled "Everything I Know About the Dallas Cowboys. by Wiley Grinnell." The book was several hundred pages. The joke was that each page was blank. Grinnell decided over the next several years that he would get Cowboy players, coaches, opponents and other coaches and famous people to give their opinions on the Cowboys.
He would either visit or send the actual book to the person, who would usually respond by writing a letter about the Cowboys and sending it back him. Most of the responses are actually written directly in the book. If someone would send back a separate letter, he would paste it into the book. His responses were outstanding from Presidents of the United States to coach Tom Landry. Even opposing coaches such as Don Shula and George A
