1973 Willie Mays All-Star Game Issued Bat.
For a two decade span beginning with the New York Giants' World Championship season of 1954 and ending with the New York Mets' National League Championship season of 1973, the Hall of Fame center fielder served as a representative of the Senior Circuit at the All-Star Game. Here we present the final bat ever issued to Say Hey for farewell to the Midsummer Classic. Though it exhibits no evident use, it is quite possibly the bat Mays carried to the plate for his single pinch-hit appearance, as he was retired on strikes to close out his All-Star Game career. The Hillerich & Bradsby S2 features block lettering on the barrel reading "All Star Game, Willie Mays, Kansas City - 1973," and Mays' number "24" in vintage marker on the knob and barrel end. A massive black sharpie inscription (9/10) fills the back of the barrel with the words, "To Joe, Best Wishes, Willie Mays," applied in the slugger's contemporary style. Length and weight are thirty-five inches and thirty-two ounces respectively. While Mays remains one of the most iconic figures of post-war baseball, making any game material of the utmost interest to collectors, a bat from his last All-Star appearance is particularly noteworthy. We're sure sophisticated hobbyists will agree. Dave Bushing has assessed the tremendous score of 9.5 for this specimen based upon its unbeatable provenance and historical significance.

Circa 1930 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball with Ruth, Gehrig.
Fans of the Bronx Bombers had much to cheer about with stars such as Ruth and Gehrig batting in their lineup. Each of those two legends have applied signatures to the OAL (Barnard) ball with the customary red and blue stitching, with Ruth occupying the sweet spot and Gehrig checking in on the side panel to the east. Other Yankee teammates are also present such as Red Ruffing and Tony Lazzeri. The ravages of time have taken much vigor out of most of the signatures here -- but it is important to note that Ruth and Gehrig have applied perhaps the two most legible autographs here.
