Description:
An early "mea culpa" from Air Jordan!
1982 Michael Jordan Handwritten Apology Letter with Three Autographs! Just a month after the freshman guard delivered the game-winner against Patrick Ewing's Georgetown Hoyas in the 1982 NCAA Finals, Michael Jordan was compelled by the UNC Athletic Department to write this letter of apology to a local business owner. Much of the details have been lost to history, but Jordan was apparently rude to workers at a local tire store, resulting in an angry phone call to the Tar Heels brass.

While any early collegiate documents from this mega-star athlete are highly collectible, this example is particularly noteworthy due to the very rare personal letterhead utilized and the appearance of three Jordan autographs. A scripted and handwritten example reside on the 5.25x8.5" stationery, and the third printed as part of Jordan's return address on the included mailing envelope. All ink is 9/10 or better, and the stationery and envelope exhibit expected handling wear, and a fold line through Jordan's scripted autograph, but otherwise fine. One of the most unique Jordan items to surface in recent memory, dating to the first weeks of his national fame. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
