Description

1996-97 Michael Jordan Game Worn Jersey. A fifth World Championship season and a fifth NBA Finals Most Valuable Player nod for the man who suited up in this home white mesh jersey as he furthered his case for recognition as the greatest player in basketball history. The Bulls would narrowly miss a second consecutive seventy-victory record this season, dropping their final two regulation games to finish at sixty-nine and thirteen, but would conquer the Utah Jazz in a six-game Finals to soothe that minor sting. Jordan's 29.6 points per game regular season average would lead the NBA for the ninth of ten career seasons.

The presented jersey sports the beautiful golden NBA logo patch at upper left, a theme unique to the Golden Anniversary season. In every other regard the jersey matches the Jordan gamers that continue to thrill the hobby, with "Bulls 23" applied in two-tone tackle twill to the chest, and "Jordan 23" on verso. Proper tagging in the tail announces "Bulls Exclusivity" with a "Body Length +3" designation, and "Champion [size] 46." A 10/10 black sharpie signature on verso comes complete with Upper Deck authenticating sticker and accompanying certificate. Use is light but definite throughout the shirt, typical of later Jordan representations. A high-end Jordan for the uncompromising collector. LOA from Lou Lampson. COA from Upper Deck (autograph). LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
