Description

1962 New York Mets Opening Day Full Tickets Lot of 2. A franchise is born! Though the 120 losses suffered by this first incarnation of the new National League franchise from New York City would lead manager Casey Stengel to famously exclaim, "Can't anybody here play this game?!," the 1962 squad still holds a special place in the hearts of Mets faithful. The presented tickets were consigned by a gentleman who had been unable to make it to that inaugural Polo Grounds home game, a four to three loss to the Roberto Clemente's Pittsburgh Pirates. The unused tickets for adjacent seats in section 30 bear a single crease just left of center and some typical corner wear, but still present very nicely. Each has been slabbed "Authentic" by PSA/DNA.
