Circa 1953 Mickey Mantle Oversized Rawlings Advertising Sign, Autographed. Absolutely mind-blowing advertising piece will drop the jaw of even the most jaded collector with its enormous size (32x44"), stunning graphics and literally unimprovable condition. A magnificent image of the lost Yankee Stadium dominates the background of the image, with a boyish Commerce Comet bathed in a heavenly glow in the forefront. Three of his signature model gloves share space with the classic Rawlings slogan, "The Finest in the Field." At some point in the 1980's, the owner of this remarkable rarity presented it to the Mick for signing, securing a 9/10 black sharpie "Best Wishes, Mickey Mantle" in the center field grass he used to patrol. If this isn't the most impressive Mickey Mantle advertising piece in the hobby, we'd like to see the one that beats it. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
