Description

May 7, 1959 Roy Campanella Night Ticket Stub. Here we present a tough high-quality stub from the May 1957 game that the Los Angeles Dodgers reserved to pay tribute to Roy Campanella, who had suffered a debilitating auto accident earlier that year. The New York Yankees agreed to be the opponent for this preseason exhibition game held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which had a whopping attendance of 93,103 that night. That figure remains as the most heavily-attended Major League baseball game on record. Stub remains in exceptional condition -- the best example we have seen to date.
