Description
Late 1920's Babe Ruth Signed Photograph with Unsigned Snapshots. Exceptional one-of-a-kind image of the great Bambino posing in front of a car at the Yanks' Florida spring training grounds is simply inscribed in 8.5/10 ink, "To Jack, From Babe Ruth." This 3x5" image shows a few mild creases, but nothing that detracts from the visual appeal. The signed photo forms the center point of a great collage of eight other original snapshots, which include two more shots of the Babe, one of Lou Gehrig, another of hunchbacked bat boy Eddie Bennett, and various other unidentified Bronx Bombers. "Jack," the father of our consignor, poses with these greats in a few of the images. The unsigned snapshots appear to show no signs of damage, and offer a unique look at this historic baseball dynasty. The collage is matted and framed to final dimensions of 16.5x18.5".
