Circa 1968 Pensacola Navy Goshawks Team Signed Football with Roger Staubach. There is no bigger sporting hero in Heritage's hometown of Dallas, Texas than Roger Staubach, so when we saw the opportunity to contact his office about this football, we jumped at the chance. Through his staff, Mr. Staubach confirmed that not only did he not have a team signed football from the team he represented just after his Vietnam tour of duty, he was not aware of anyone who did. So bidders can rest assured that the presented pigskin is a truly rare commodity. The ball is signed by about fifty members of the Navy squad based out of Pensacola, Florida, but it goes without saying that Staubach is the key here, his autograph rendered in the 9/10 boldness that characterizes eighty percent of the roster present. The balance averages perhaps 3/10. The ball leaks air but maintains its shape perfectly for display.
