Description

1920's Robert T. "Bobby" Jones Signed Photograph. After Francis Ouimet's dramatic win in the 1913 US Open, America was ready for an American golf hero and in Bobby Jones, they found one. Winner of an astonishing thirteen majors in eight years (1923-1930), Jones retired at age twenty-eight after completing the then unheard of achievement of winning all four majors in one year. This item is quite simply as fine a Bobby Jones item as has ever been offered for public sale--an original 8 X 10 photo printed on firm stock signed in bold and flowing penmanship with perfect contrast and uninscribed. Any minimal wear is confined entirely to the wise borders of this special relic, providing a genuine NRMT appearance upon display. LOA from Mark Emerson. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
