1887-1890 N172 Old Judge Spider Clark SGC 80 EX/NM 6. Owen F. Clark was a teammate of Connie Mack on the 1889 Washington Nationals team. A fine example from the landmark Old Judge series displaying a fantastic image with great detail and contrast.

1910-11 T3 Turkey Red Cabinets Hughie Jennings #18 SGC 40 VG 3.
Turkey Red cabinet cards were obtained by mailing in coupons found in Turkey Red, Fez and Old Mill brand cigarettes. Turkey Reds measure 5-3/4" x 8", and feature full-color lithograph fronts with wide gray frames. Hall of Famer Hughie Jennings was both a top player and a successful manager. In 1896, Jennings drove in 121 runs without hitting a single home run - the record for most RBI in a season without hitting a homer.
1910-11 T3 Turkey Red Cabinets Christy Mathewson #27 SGC 10 Poor 1. Turkey Red cabinet cards were obtained by mailing in coupons found in Turkey Red, Fez and Old Mill brand cigarettes. Turkey Reds measure 5-3/4" x 8", and feature full-color lithograph fronts with wide gray frames. Christy Mathewson was highly-respected both as a ballplayer and as a decent human being. 1911 T205 Gold Border Hal Chase Both Ears, Border Ends PSA VG-EX 4. Nice card from the popular T205 tobacco issue featuring player manager Hal Chase with the New York Yankees. Both ears showing variation of the card. After charges of bribes, bets and throwing games stateside; Chase, in 1925, tried to start a league in Mexico where he had a cafe. Ban Johnson knew the president of Mexico and had him deported back to the USA.
1914 T213 Coupon Cigarettes Type 2 Roger Bresnahan PSA VG 3. Utilizing the same image as his T206 card, this one featuring Hall of Fame catcher Roger Bresnahan has him listed with Chicago of the National League.
1939 Play Ball Joe DiMaggio #26 SGC 20 Fair 1.5. Well worn card from the 1939 Play Ball series featuring Hall of Fame outfielder Joe DiMaggio with the New York Yankees. Corner wear and creasing are clearly evident, though card's overall appearance is nicer than given grade.

1954 Bowman Ted Williams #66 SGC 70 EX+ 5.5. One of the more recognizable cards from the hitting great who inspired his share of nicknames including "The Kid," "The Thumper," "The Splendid Splinter" and "Teddy Ballgame". Pulled from the set, likely due to contractual problems, the 1954 Bowman #66 Ted Williams is one of the most sought-after postwar rarities. The Williams card was replaced by Jim Piersall after the initial print run.

1962 Life Magazine with Mantle and Maris Post Cereal Cards. The April 13, 1962 Life magazine is unique in several ways. Looking into the past and seeing Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor on the cover, to the ads inside offering cigarettes to Bourbon. But the real find are the 1962 Post Cereal cards still attached inside the magazine. The card featuring Mickey Mantle on the front and Roger Maris on the reverse remains in fine NM condition with the exception of some minor creasing at left edge of Mantle card.
Ty Cobb Hand Embellished Giclee Print. Offered is a hand embellished giclee canvas print of the great Ty Cobb. The image itself is unframed and measures 10" x 13". Artist Grant Smith has hand painted highlights on the print, and numbered the piece 12/100. The original painting hangs in the home of Yankee star Johnny Damon.
Rube Foster Original Painting. One of the greatest baseball minds in history, Rube Foster was not only the star pitcher of his day, but was the father of the Negro National League. Foster was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981, and his half-brother, Willie Foster, was inducted 15 years later, making them the only brothers in Negro League history to be inducted. Offered is a 2' x 3' original oil painting of Foster with a minimal textured background. A red and green abstract stripe flank him to his left and right side.
Negro League Original Mixed Media Painting. Offered is an original 24" x 30" mixed media painting from artist Grant Smith, of an unnamed Kansas City Monarchs player. The image has been repeated with text under each image as well as the center of the painting and along the right side. A white hand holds a white ball above the head of the player, taunting him in the fact that the playing field is not level. Crushed rock has been mixed with the paint to create a hardened rough texture. The text below the player reads "For man must live his life on earth, Where hate and sin and wrong abound, Tis here the soul must prove its worth, Tis here the strength of it is found."

1962 Archie Moore vs. Cassius Clay Mailing Envelope Addressed by Clay. Promotional mailing envelope hyping the upcoming Heavyweight Title Elimination fight between veteran Archie Moore and upstart Cassius Clay. Clay was famously quoted as follows, 'Archie's been living off the fat of the land. I'm here to give him his pension plan. When you come to the fight, don't block the aisle or the door ..you will all go home after round four.' The KO came in round four, just as Clay had predicted. Though we've blurred the addressee at the consignor's request, we assure you that the address is rendered in the young Muhammad Ali's hand.
