1969 National League All Star Game Team Signed Baseball. The American League entered this All-Star Game determined to close out the 60's with a win and continue that momentum into the next decade. The years of leading, only to lose in extra innings had taken it's toll along with the fact that in the forty innings preceding the game, the Nationals had scored only six runs (and still were unbeatable).By the end of the third inning, though, the National League already had eight and was coasting, thanks to a murderous assault on Mel Stottlemyre and his successor, Blue Moon Odom. The American League went quietly to the end for their seventh straight loss. The OAL (Cronin) baseball boasts the signatures of twenty three N.L. All Stars including Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Johnny Bench, Walter Alston, Steve Carlton, Phil Niekro, Ron Santo, Willie McCovey(MVP of the game), Gil Hodges, Red Schoendienst, Dave Bristol, Denis Menke, Bill Singer, etc. Signatures rate in the four to six range, creating a welcome addition to any Hall of Fame collection.
