1967 Panini Le Grandi Raccolte per la Gioventu, "Campioni dello Sport" Album. The 1967 Panini "Campioni Dello Sport" set consists of 534 stickers. This scarce series was An extensive series of Italian origin, the set honors athletes both contemporary and from the past. Great names from the worlds of auto racing, boxing, floor hockey, motocross, swimming, and volleyball are included. A pioneer of sorts of the parallel card craze, there are even second and more scarce versions with "Valida" marked on the back of cards which could be exchanged for prizes but those were found in packs (none included). The biggest stars include Jesse Owens, Jim Thorpe, Cassius Clay, Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, Primo Carnera, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Georges Carpentier. The shrink wrap we believe but are not 100% certain is original. cards included are not glued onto pages.Auction Info
