Description

1976 Mike Schmidt Game Used & Signed Bicentennial Bat, PSA/DNA GU 8.5. He followed the Babe Ruth principle of swinging bit, hitting big and missing big, leading the National League in both long balls (38) and strikeouts (149) the year this Louisville Slugger model P89 (36" and 34.7 ounces) saw heavy game action.

The splendid ash lumber has Louisville Slugger's bicentennial branding near the trademark with the name in plain block lettering. Checking from repeatedly making contact with the horsehide is evident on the back and front barrel. Stitch impressions consume all sides of the barrel. Pine tar on the cracked handle and red bat rack marks adds a dose of aesthetics. A second crack is located from the top extending to the back barrel. Schmidt signed the barrel end and added "1980 WS Champs" and "548 HR HOF 95" in blue felt tip. "20" appears on the handle. LOA from PSA/DNA, GU 8.5.
