    Early 1900's Horace Ramey Personal Tickets, University of Michigan Yearbook, Guides, etc. One of several lots within this Platinum Night auction consigned by the family of American middle distance runner Horace Ramey, who ran for the American team in the 400 and 800 meter races. In the former, Ramey made it to semifinals, where he was eliminated by fellow American John Taylor, who would become the first black Olympic Gold Medalist at these Games.

    Included are the following pieces, originally owned by Ramey: 1906 University of Michigan annual; early 1900's "The M Club" booklets and athletic annuals (six), 1905, 1906 and 1912 "Spalding's Athletic Almanacs" (3), various ticket stubs, including 1926 Army vs. Navy (Soldier Field Dedication), 1927 Tunney vs. Dempsey fight, etc; 1907 Intercollegiate Championships program, 1908 Summer Olympics "Form of Entry" application and more.
