Late 1930's Jesse Owens Signed Handwritten Letter with Olympics Content. Setting three world records and tying another, all within the span of less than an hour, Jesse Owens owned the 1936 Olympics like no other athlete has. With Adolph Hitler hosting the Olympics and originally trying to ban African-American and Jewish athletes, Owens must have infuriated the Fuehrer as he destroyed the competition. This nicely framed handwritten letter from Owens was written to a group of students who sent him a valentine. He writes, "I know your Special Olympic [sic] was as great a thrill as I experienced in 1936." The bold signature rates a 9/10 and is framed with a nameplate and two photographs. Overall dimensions of 21x21." Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
