1903-31 Horace Ramey Scrapbook from University of Michigan & Olympics with Approximately 320 Original Photographs. The athletic career of Horace Ramey is captured within the confines of this photo album. Ramey was a track star who first gained notoriety at the University of Michigan and then participated in the 1908 Olympic Games. Each of the approximately 320 photos is pasted into the provided album. Sizes range from 8x10" to the more common 5x7" and 4.5x6" images. A heavy emphasis is on track as Ramey starred in the sport. There are photos featuring Tom Hammond (kicking), Fielding Yost (studio and on the field), multiple Michigan football team photos and individual photos, Lewis Tewanima (track) and a few scenery shots. A portion of the album is dedicated to Ramey's journey to the Olympics.
