    Description

2002 Winter Olympics Torch, Salt Lake City. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed our national anthem at the Opening Ceremonies of the Salt Lake City Olympics, where a torch identical in appearance to this one lit the cauldron to signal the start of the XIX Olympic Winter Games on February 24, 2002. A soot-blackened glass top of the provided model assures that this beauty was part of the flame relay, but otherwise it presents without flaws. Torch is engraved with the words "Light the fire within" on the handle and bears the logo of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympics on the body. Length is thirty-three inches (33").
