1972 Don Cohan Presentational Watch - Bronze Medalist in Sailing. Update: The watch is fully functional and in working order.

Don Cohan was a trailblazer in the truest sense. In 1972, Cohan became the first Jewish man to medal in sailing as he claimed bronze. This Longines watch was presented to Cohan for his continuations at the Munich games. According to Cohan's son, these were only given to winning athletes. We have no documentation to back up that claim. "US Olympic Team 1972" and "Longines" appears on the face of the watch. At some point the band was replaced. One of the original bands attends. The watch is self wind and features a gold electorplate. The 1972 Olympics will forever be known for as the Munich Massacre as nine Israeli athletes were killed. Own a timeless treasure from that Olympics, one never commercially produced. Letter of provenance from Don Cohan's son.
