1968 Soviet Union Basketball Olympic Bronze Medal Presented to Modestas Paulauskas. Basketball has proved to be a worldwide phenomenon. While the United States ruled the sport's landscape for years, the international game has caught up in many aspects. The Soviets always provided ample competition for Team USA. In 1972, the Soviets won the gold amid a few controversial calls at the end. Modestas Paulauskas is known as one of the finest Lithuanian basketball players of all-time. He helped elevate the Soviet Union roundball program and achieve a bronze in 1968 and gold in '72.

This bronze medal was presented to Paulauskas for his exemplary work in the '68 Olympic Games. The small forward paced his team with a 16 point average during his team's nine games. This prize has a diameter of just under 2.5" and weighs 102 grams. Regular age wear is found on the relic. A fastener is attached but the original ribbon is not included.
