1936 Jesse Owens Signed Postcard - Signed During Return Voyage from Berlin Olympics!
Extraordinarily desirable signature from this four-time Gold Medalist was signed aboard the RMS Queen Mary as Owens returned from Berlin after having dominated the 1936 Olympic Games, undermining a rising Adolf Hitler's narrative of Aryan supremacy. Beyond the special vintage that the postcard format confirms, this particular autograph variation is desirable for its rare "Ohio State" notation, a nod to his alma mater where his rise to track and field notoriety had begun. Black fountain pen ink rates 8/10, and postcard exhibits moderate handling wear but no faults of any true distraction. Verso is unmarked. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
