Description

Circa 2000 Led Zeppelin Signed Guitar. Formed in London, England in 1968 from the ashes of guitar super-group The Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin would quickly skyrocket to commercial and critical success on the strength of such immortal hits as "Stairway to Heaven" and "Kashmir." But, like so many other iconic rock bands, ego clashes and personal tragedy took a heavy toll, the end coming in a December 4, 1980 press release following the death of drummer John Bonham:

"We wish it to be known that the loss of our dear friend, and the deep sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves and our manager, have led us to decide that we could not continue as we were."

But time heals all wounds, and the remaining three founding members--Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page--answered the plaintive calls of fandom in the years to follow, reuniting first for the famous 1985 Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, and at several other special events in days to come.

At one of those events, a well-connected fan was able to present a Fender Telecaster pick guard for signing, coming away with one of the very few autographed relics bearing the mark of this Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame trio. All three signatures survive in glorious 10/10 condition. We note that the pick guard is pictured on a different guitar in the included PSA/DNA letter of authenticity, but the current guitar is a genuine Fender and not the cheaper "Squier" format. It's a relic sure to inspire "A Whole Lotta Love" from our bidding clientele. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
