Description

Vintage Hartland - "Matt Dillon" of Gunsmoke Statue, Hang Tag And Box. Offered is a very high-grade early 1960's Western Hartland of Matt Dillon of "Gunsmoke." If you watched TV from 1955 through the mid-1970's you were probably watching "Gunsmoke." Although not a show for the kids, Gunsmoke was one of the best western shows ever produced. It was a natural choice for Hartland in 1958 to make a figure inspired by the main character "Matt Dillon" played by actor James Arness. This presentation includes the original box, hang tag, horse, rider and saddle. Hat, pistol, reins and instructions still sealed in plastic bag. The box presents close to Mint but has the center crease that is inevitable when opening the box. The horse, rider etc. have very minor signs of handling but still minimally near-mint.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
