    Very Scarce 1949 R711-5 Topps "It Happened To a President" Complete Set (20). In 1949 Topps turned the traditionally discarded wrapper into a set of now highly prized collectibles. Topps' Golden Coins are actual plastic coins depicting US Presidents and were the intended purchase item. On the inside of each wrapper was a comic telling the tale of a significant event experienced by a US President. This unique complete set consists of 18 standard US edition examples and two items (#'s 1 and 14) from the O-Pee-Chee variety issued in 1956. Overall, the fragile paper wrappers are crinkled and creased as anticipated but present in the VG to EX range with a few lesser due to additional paper tears. A very scarce series rarely offered in quantity, let alone as a complete set.
