1887 Allen & Ginter N28 William Sexton PSA NM-MT 8. An amazing specimen from the Allen & Ginter issue of one of the greatest billiard players to ever grace the tables, William Sexton. At the very young age of 20, Sexton defeated Charles Effier, the Albany champion, which started his rise to stardom. William played in many singles matches and racked up a lot of winnings, including a $2,500 prize from J. Schaefer, where he ran off a record 77 straight points. Later on in life, he managed many billiard rooms until his health deteriorated. This card has amazing originality, sharp corners, striking colors and remarkable centering. Only 2 examples have ever been graded at this lofty status, with none grading higher. A true rarity. Strong NM-MT condition.
