1966 Donruss "Marvel Super Heroes" Near Set (62/66). In 1961, Marvel Comics brought the comic book field to a vivid, full life with a series of characters which were truly "super" but also possessed all too human traits and faults. Donruss capitalized on their popularity with this 66 card series featuring Spider-Man, Iron man, Thor, Daredevil, Captain America and the Hulk. Each scene is accompanied by a humorous caption or a "Write Your Own" option (which naturally ruined many cards, but none of these). Offered is a very nice high-end near set of 62 cards. Missing #'s 40, 44, 48, 53. Many "minty" cards that are mostly graded based on centering. Grades 10% NM, 90% EX to EX/MT with a few slightly lesser.Auction Info
