    Description

1959 Ad-Trix "Popeye" Partial Set (34). "Popeye, the Sailor Man" made his debut in the late 1920's in a comic titled Thimble Theatre and his appeal only grew from there. The spinach lovin' sailor, Olive Oyl and of course Wimpy soon saw their likenesses on a multitude of endorsements but none more popular than on trading cards. This 66-card production was released in 1959 Ad-Trix Corp. and remains of the more desirable Popeye themed card editions both in the US and abroad. Offered is a 34-card partial set with #'s 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, 32, 33, 34, 37, 39, 43, 44, 45, 48. 49, 50, 54, 55, 58, 61, 62 and 65. Grades 67% NM to NM/MT, 33% EX/MT with a few slightly lesser.
