Description

1955 Topps "Rails and Sails" Partial Set (140/200) Including Almost All High Number Cards. This set covers the wonderful world of trains and boats used in the past. One of the first locomotive designs came from Colonel John Stevens of Hoboken, NJ. In 1826, he built the first steam locomotive and from that time forward, bigger and faster designs were drawn up. This is an amazing retrospective that will impress most enthusiasts of the Rails and Sails card community. The scarce high series always provides a challenge, but with most cards present (missing just #'s 141 and 169), the challenge of putting together a complete set has almost been eliminated. Grades 71% EX to EX/MT, 29% VG to VG/EX.
