1954-55 Topps "World On Wheels" Complete Set (180). In the 1950's, the car was king. As with many other trends, Topps was right on top of it with a trading card set befitting the current craze. This edition showcased cars, trains, trucks, etc. with both present day and from the past. Today, Topps' "World On Wheels" series is one of the most popular vehicle related releases, particularly the scarce #161-180 high number run which concludes the series. Card #'s 171-180 are blue backs. Four cards have been graded by PSA that include #'s 162 Mercury (PSA NM 7), 168 Bristol (PSA NM-MT 8), 171 Pontiac Strato-Star (PSA EX 5) and 180 Ford Crown Victoria (PSA VG-EX 4 MC). Grades 80% EX to EX/MT (few better), 20% VG to VG/EX.Auction Info
