1951 Bowman Red Menace Complete Set (48) Plus '85 Update. Bowman Gum, Inc. went controversial with the gum makers 1951 release of these "Children's Crusade Against Communism" trading cards. Well produced and graphic, this set features colorful, painted imagery designed to showcase pivotal events, military leaders, and the potential effects of nuclear calamities. A total of 8 cards have been graded by PSA. Highlights include: Graded - PSA NM 7: 1 card, #31; PSA EX-MT 6: 4 cards, #'s 7, 8, 11 and 19 (ST); PSA EX+ 5.5: 1 card, #26; PSA EX 5: 2 cards, #'s 10 and 25.
