    1938 R69 Gum Inc. "Horrors Of War" Complete Set (288). One of the most popular non-sport sets in the hobby. This edition was an ingenious vehicle to bring war propaganda to an impressionable young generation. The set is by far the most graphic and violent filled productions ever. The images are gruesome and colorful but the history behind them is all too real. Nineteen cards have been graded by SGC. Includes: SGC 82 EX/MT+ 6.5: 1 card, #258; SGC 80 EX/NM 6: 1 card, #237; SGC 60 EX 5: 7 cards, #'s 48, 165, 184, 233, 243, 250, 280; SGC 50 VG/EX 4: 4 cards, #'s 127, 159, 170, 178, 205; SGC 40 VG 3: 5 cards, #'s 240 Frightful Cost of War, 263, 277 Hitler's Border Tour, 283 Hitler Threatens Peace and 286 Chamberlain Meets Hitler. Ungraded - #'s 284 Germany's Amazing Mobile Big Gun (miscut), 285 Sudetens and Czechs Engage in Civil War (miscut) and 287 Premier Hodza Confers with Army Heads over War (GD). Grades 59% VG to EX with a couple nicer, 26% lesser, 15% miscut/handcut/trimmed.
