    Description

1935/36 Schutter-Johnson "I'm Going To Be" and "Tarzan and The Vault of Isis" Sets Pair. Schutter-Johnson's production "Tarzan and the Crystal Vault of Isis" features all the mystique of Edgar Rice Boroughs' classic character--Tarzan of the Apes. Their overall scarcity makes this an extremely difficult set to put together to completion. Another almost Impossible set to complete is the "I'm Going to Be" series featuring exciting illustrations of future potential occupations including a boxer, policeman, baseball player and even a pirate. Parents must have loved that suggestion. Missing is #4 Strongman which was pulled from circulation to limited prizes, also missing are #'s 3, 11, 12, 17. Includes: 1935 R72 Schutter-Johnson "I'm Going To Be" Near Set (20/25) - #'s 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25. Grades PR to GD with a few nicer; 1936 R147 "Tarzan and The Vault of Isis" Partial Set (25/50) - #'s 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 31, 32, 33, 35, 39, 40, 42, 43, 46, 47, 48, 49. The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
