    Description

Rare C. 1890 N174 Old Judge (Australian) T. Busst SGC 20 Fair 1.5. This auction features a selection of rare C. 1890 Goodwin & Co. "Old Judge Cigarette Factory" insert cards that come to us from the land down under. These are rare Australian variety and originate from a veteran collector coming to us from literally around the world. These cards are rarely seen and feature subject more than likely not found in any other edition. Each of these cards is the one and only card graded to date by SGC or one of only two!

This presentation is for a Goodwin & Co. N174 Old Judge Card featuring: T. Busst that has been graded SGC 20 fair 1.5. Little is found on Busst. Newspaper accounts say he won the Melbourne Bicycle Club's annual race held on the Melbourne Cricket Grounds on November 23, 1890. As mentioned, this is the first and currently the only example recorded on the SGC census report!

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
