    Description

1888 A47 (N189) Kimball "Savage & Semi-Barbarous Chiefs" Album. For numerous ways, the N189 series of "Savage and Semi-Barbarous Chiefs and Rulers" holds great fascination. One can marvel at the traditional clothes and accompanying accessories of cultures from around the world. One can become enthralled at the marvelous detail afforded us by the lithographer's craft. Language buffs can expend quite some time and effort into the proper pronunciation of the provided titles. They also made good learning tools for helping youngsters looking to expand their world past the closest horizon. Produced to promote this issue is one of the beautifully illustrated multi-page albums that are in far too little supply today. This album is designated "A47" and includes the front cover and 13 interior pages. Front cover and first two pages has has damage at the spine, hole punch area and/or back surface but other pages are primarily affected by corner wear. Art work is vibrant and a pleasure to vie. Not the optimal condition but this could make for a great wall display with some creative matting and framing.
