    Description

    1950's Topps, Bowman & Top-Top Bread - Automobiles Collection (115). In the 1950's, the car was king. As with many other trends, Topps was right on top of it with a trading card set befitting the current craze. Numerous trading card promotions showcased cars, trains, trucks, boats, etc. with both then current day technology and vehicles from the past. Includes: 1952 Topps "Wings" (1) - #131 (poor); 1953 Bowman "Antique Autos" (2) - #'s 11 and 18, both Poor; 1953 Bowman "Firefighters" (1) - #25 (poor); 1954 Tip-Top Bread "Sports Cars" Collection (21) - w/Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, Arnolt-Bristol, Bugatti 101, Dyna-Panhard (2), Ferrari 250 Europa (2), Ford Thunderbird (2), Maserati A6g-2000 (3), Mercedes-Benz 190 Sl, MG T.F., Nash-Healey-Farina, Porsche 356, Sunbeam Alpine and Swallow Doretti (4). Grades 52% VG to VG/EX, 48% lesser; 1954 Topps "World on Wheels" (27). Today, Topps' "World On Wheels" series is one of the most popular vehicle related releases, particularly due to the scarce #161-180 high number run which concludes the series (sorry, none are included). Includes: #'s 5, 7, 11, 2, 13, 5, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26, 29, 30, 45, 51, 67, 68, 82, 99, 122 (2), 128 and 135 (2). Grades FR to GD with a few lesser/few nicer; 1955 Topps "Rails and Sails" (63). This set covers the wonderful world of trains and boats used in the past. One of the first locomotive designs came from Colonel John Stevens of Hoboken, NJ. In 1826, he built the first steam locomotive and from that time forward, bigger and faster designs were drawn up. This is an amazing retrospective that will impress most enthusiasts of the rail and sail communities. Includes: #'s 2, 3, 5 (2), 2, 3, 14, 15, 18, 20 (2), 21 (2), 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33 (2), 35, 36, 37 (2), 40, 41, 45, 46, 47 (2), 49 92), 50, 51, 52, 56, 57 (2), 58 (2), 60 (2), 61, 63, 64, 66, 67 (2), 68, 69, 76, 77, 78, 79, 132, 134 (2), 139, 145 and 150.
