The late 19th Century was a time when at art met promotion and the result was an explosion of wonderfully produced trade card, invitations, greeting cards, valentines and insert cards were produced. It appears there was no theme that when un-noticed. Offered is an extensive gallery of collectible made for the coffee drinker. Includes: 1890's K35 Lion Coffee Information Cards (56) - Geographic places, famous people, holidays, Presidents, etc.; 1980's K36 Lion Coffee "Writers and Poets" (56) - w/Shakespeare, Hawthorne, Milton, Longfellow, Dickens, etc.; 1890's Lion Coffee (1) - James Ballantine (FR); Lion's Coffee "Children's Dolls With Stories" Series of 20 (16 Different) - A few missing head portions; Lion Coffee "Paper Toys for the Children" Series of 30 (11 Different); Lion's Coffee "Children's Dolls With Stories" Series of 30 (6 Different).

Includes: Lion, Polar Bear, Pig, Fox(2 sets), Black Bear, Elephant, Horse, Zebu, Bill, Giraffe, Panther, Sheep, Sea Lion, Moose (no rider), Wolf, Donkey, Zebra, Kangaroo, Tiger and Camel. Misc. - Brownie Dolls - Tuck (complete and Jockey (just the body) plus one trade card and three die-cut items from other editions. Overall, this collection offers condition as well as completeness. The majority are in Excellent condition with most creasing limited the tab portions designed to be bend for standing. There is a small percentage of lesser pieces and a few have tape. Not an easy collection to replicate.
