Early 1950's Western "Champ" Large and Standard Size Hartland Statue Pair (2) - One Still in Original Box. Dating to the early 1950's, this "Western Champ" was part of the first Hartland offerings. The 900 Series line was noted for its larger size, the 800 series was for smaller or standard size editions. The presented pair includes one each size, one being about as pristine of a collectible you'll ever find. Includes: The first "Western Champ" is still inside the 11-1/4" x 12-1/4" x 3-1/2" original Hartland mailing box. There is no sign of damage or moisture exposure. The box is opened and we assume the contents are undisturbed as we have left them. The side panel identifies the contents via the "801 PAL" stamp - code for the size and style of (Palomino) horse. The other is a rare 900 series statue that stands close to 12 inches tall. The white horse has some scuff marks on the abdomen, the saddle has a wax residue on the seat, as does the rider but all are near-mint otherwise. The rider has some slight wear and comes with his saddle, hat and a pair of silver pistols. This is certainly not the easiest Hartland to find!

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
