    Description

Circa 1910 H-UNC Piedmont "Countries of the World" Complete Set (10). Entitled "Countries of the World," these extremely rare "Piedmont" tobacco premiums depict people from around the world all enjoying a good smoke. The faces will be immediately recognizable by collectors of the T113 "Types of Nations" series. The art is incredibly nice and the lithography is simply amazing. The 10-card complete set is so rare it seems even Jefferson Burdick wasn't aware they existed. The backs give the reader some insightful information about the respective country, interweaving the role tobacco and smoking plays in society. The fronts show a pair of smokers, one smoking a cigarette and the other a pipe. Measuring 8" x 5-1/2" each has either edge wear, corner wear or light crease or two. Grades VG to VG/EX with a couple lesser but excellent display value.
