Circa. 1881 H602 U.S. President Trade Card High Grade Complete Set (21). Offered is a 21-card complete set of H602 "United States Presidents" trade cards from 1889. This finely produced series presented the twenty-one who had served as Commander In Chief from George Washington, our first president through Chester A. Arthur (1881-1885). Each blank-backed card features a detailed black-and-white portrait along with date of birth, years of service and age. Designed to have advertising added as needed, each of these approx. 2-3/4" x 4-1/2" cards are all unused and probably never circulated as suggested by the noticeably empty field. A total of 8 cards have been graded by SGC. Includes: Adams (EX/MT), John Quincy Adams (SGC 86 NM+ 7.5), Grant (VG/EX), Jackson (SGC 88 NM/MT 8), Thomas Jefferson (EX), Johnson (SGC 84 NM 7), Abe Lincoln (VG/EX), Madison (SGC 84 NM 7), Monroe (GD, slight tear on left border), Pierce (SGC 88 NM/MT 8), Taylor (SGC 88 NM/MT 8), Tyler (SGC 84 NM 7), George Washington (SGC 86 NM+ 7.5). Grades 38% NM to NM/MT, 38% EX to EX/MT, 24% lesser.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
