1962 Topps "Civil War News" Confederate Money Complete Set - Uncut Strip! Rare 5-1/2" x 40-3/4" configuration containing one full set of all 17 inserts. A rare partial sheet of this 1961-62 Topps insert series (hand-trimmed along its top and bottom) was discovered and sold at auction a few years ago. The arrangement of this partial section's included designs gave the hobby the misleading impression that there were short prints within the insert set. This newly discovered machine-trimmed strip that is being offered here corrects that misinformation, revealing a full unbroken column of all 17 designs. By comparing the arrangement of designs on this strip to an image of that previously mentioned partial sheet, two things can now be determined: that there were at least two different sheets and that columns on full sheets, although staggered in the positioning of their displayed content, probably each contained one full set of inserts. This uncut column also clearly reveals why centering is such a problem with the insert set-the graphics do not display uniform centering with each other, some being positioned slightly to the left of average center! A beautiful display piece, this rare find provides answers to some long-standing questions about one of the most highly regarded non-sports sets from Topps. This is the perfect opportunity to own a set without the unavoidable centerfolds that were required for pack insertion! Except for one 1/8" segment if discoloration along the right edge, the roll presents as close MINT as one can expect. A fantastic display piece for the non-sports enthusiast.

NOTE: This pieces has been stored rolled up for the last number of years. The top and bottom in the image appears curved. This is not a defect, this is simply due to the curling of the paper as our best attempt to photograph the item as flat as possible but not risk damaging the piece.
