    Description

1961 Leaf "Spook Stories" Complete Set (144). Offered is a 144-card complete set of Leafs' "Spook Stories," consisting of simple black and white monster photos which are matched with funny (well, most are) captions. Images are taken from classic Hollywood horror films which exposed a whole new generation to these characters and the original stars who made them come to life on film. This Leaf product was issued under a variety of wrapper titles including "Spook Theater" and "Son Of Spook Theater." The second series of cards (#'d 73-144) make putting together a complete quite a challenge, especially for condition conscious hobbyists looking for high grade examples. A total of 8 cards, all from the noted high-series, have been graded by PSA. Highlights include: Graded Cards: PSA NM-MT 8: 5 cards w/#'s 76, 89, 103, 104 and 124; PSA NM 7: 3 cards w/#'s 111, 123 and 126. Grades 21% NM to NM/MT, 69% EX to EX/MT, 10% VG to VG/EX.
