Description

1959 Topps Funny Valentines (Series I) Near Set (65). This is the first of the Topps card sets to be fully illustrated by the great EC comic artist Jack Davis. Used by many kids of the day as an insulting alternative to the usual complimentary Valentine's Day card, these humorous cardstock offerings still hold their original purchasers in their thrall, and there is no doubt that their intended victims on the receiving end of the chain will never forget their impact! A truly classic set. Missing #64 for completion. Grades EX to EX/MT, a few lesser, a few nicer.
