    Description

1959 Topps Funny Valentines (Series I) Complete Set (66) Plus Wrapper. This is the first of the Topps card sets to be fully illustrated by the great EC comic artist Jack Davis. Used by many kids of the day as an insulting alternative to the usual complimentary Valentine's Day card, these humorous cardstock offerings still hold their original purchasers in their thrall, and there is no doubt that their intended victims on the receiving end of the chain will never forget their impact! A truly classic set. The wrapper displays a humorous Frankenstein image and presents at the EX level with usual circulation folds, creasing and one brief tear. The set grades 73% Nm to NM/MT with a couple nicer, 23% EX to EX/MT (All due to centering).
