    1958 Topps "T.V. Westerns" High-Grade Near Set (70/71). When the popularity of television exploded in the late 1940's and 1950's, westerns quickly became a staple of small-screen entertainment. The peak year for television westerns was 1959, with 26 such shows airing during prime-time. Among the classic popular series covered in the 1958 Topps release are Gunsmoke; Wanted: Dead or Alive; Have Gun, Will Travel; Union Pacific; Wagon Train; and The Californians. Missing #13 for completion. Grades 30% NM to NM/MT, 55% EX to EX/MT, 15% VG to VG/EX.
