    Description

1955 Topps "Rails and Sails" High End Near Set (169/200). This set covers the wonderful world of trains and boats used in the past. One of the first locomotive designs came from Colonel John Stevens of Hoboken, NJ. In 1826, he built the first steam locomotive and from that time forward, bigger and faster designs were drawn up. This is an amazing retrospective that will impress most enthusiasts of the rail and sail communities. The scarce high series always provides a challenge, but with 59 of the 70 cards present, the challenge of putting together a complete high end set has been largely eliminated. This is a very nice assembly with many glossy cards. Grades 78% EX to EX/MT with some NM, 22% VG/EX with some a little lesser.
