    1951 Bowman "Red Menace" Complete Set (48). Bowman Gum, Inc. went controversial with the gum makers 1951 release of these "Children's Crusade Against Communism" trading cards. Well produced and graphic, this set features colorful, painted imagery designed to showcase pivotal events, military leaders, and the potential effects of nuclear calamities. A total of 6 cards have been graded by SGC. Includes: SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5: 1 card, #'s 43; SGC 86 NM+ 7.5: 2 cards, #'s 20 and 39; SGC 84 NM 7: 3 cards, #'s 10, 11, 23 Ghost City. Ungraded - #'s 2 MacArthur (EX), 24 Eisenhower (EX/MT), 47 Mao Tse-tung (EX). Grades 20% NM to NM/MT, 60% EX to EX/MT, 20% lesser.
