1944 R59 Gum Inc. American Beauties "Pin-Up's!" Store Display. For a set that has no certifiable stars or Hall of Famers it certainly is popular and no one would call these ladies common. The 24-card "American Beauties" is an extremely popular war-time production and a quick look at the tantalizing illustrations explains all. The cards were sold in various ways and this is certainly the most difficult type of sales packaging to find. We are aware of just one other Offered is a very rare "!Pin-Up's!" retail store display card that was designed to display a dozen cellophane wrapped packs of six cards. The card measures 8-1/4" x 13" and is in good condition with tape in the upper right corner although we see no damage or need for repair. A pair of cello wrappers are still attached (one has tape at the bottom) along with remnants from six others. There are four loose cards, all look uncirculated but are miscut plus three packs that are technically opened as they have become unattached. Each certainly looks to be unsearched with uncirculated cards inside. A fantastic and very rare addition to your non-sports or pin-up card collection.
