1938 Gum Inc. "Horrors of War" Uncut Partial Sheet. Individually, Gum Incorporateds' Horrors of War cards offer some of the most graphic illustrations ever used for the gum card market. As an uncut sheet the they do make for an amazing display of color and artistry. The offered partial sheet has been pared down to 12-5/8" x 15-7/8" showing the full area or top/bottom portion of 28 cards. The seven rows of four cards each include: full cards - #'s 49-52, 55-58, 61-64 and 67-70 (twice) and portions of #'s 49-52 and 61-64. The sheet has survived in amazing condition. There are no creases or wrinkles and any wear is limited to the outer corners. The most fastidious eye would declare the back has overall light toning from age. Terrific display piece.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
