    Description

1880's N117 Duke "Industries of The States" Collection (11). The N117 "Industries of The States" is one if the best looking non-sport series ever produced for various reasons. The first is the richly detailed and professional illustrations which brings us to the other "best looking" reason... we'll let you figure that out. These cards certainly may have been considered very risque for the era with a young lady representing a different state, which of course needed to be semi- to completely topless. Issued promoting two different tobacco brands, this presentation include a couple of the slightly tougher "Duke, Sons & Co." brand reverse. Others are the "G.W. Gail & Ax" version. Includes: Georgia (SGC 50 VG/EX 4), Indiana (SGC 30 Good 2), Kentucky (SGC 20 Fair 1.5), Louisiana (SGC 60 EX 5), Maryland (SGC 20 Fair 1.5), Michigan (SGC 70 EX+ 5.5), Mississippi (SGC 30 Good 2), New Jersey "Duke Sons & Co." (SFGC 40 VG 3), Rhode Island (SGC 40 VG 3), South Carolina "Duke Sons & Co." (SFGC 40 VG 3) and Tennessee (SGC 10 Poor 1).

I am completely satisfied, more to the point, absolutely ecstatic, about not only the proceeds but the wonderful professional manner every aspect of my little consignment was handled.
