Late 1960's Early 1970's Firestone Tire & Rubber Mechanic's Work Coverall. This gem was acquired from the recent liquidation of the Plew's Indy 500 Museum. It most likely originates from the late 1960s to early 70s. The Firestone Tire Company had a permanent residence in Gasoline Alley at the Speedway for decades until roughly 1974. This all-red garment includes a rubberized logo affixed on the front and the Firestone name lettered and logo across the back in like material. The coverall was made by All Workers and is a size 56. It was made in Italy. Zippered front goes from neck to crotch. The ornamental buttons and striping around the pockets is only decorative. In general, in very nice condition with minor soiling that would most likely come out in a normal wash.
